About Versioning
Over time new features will come along and others will be removed. To foresee and avoid potential compatibility issues, the API handles this by having multiple versions available at the same time.
There is however a limit in terms of backward compability and at any time only the three newest versions will be available. In addition, a beta/preview version might also be available. This example demostrates the versions and their lifecycle:
v11b: Public beta/preview version
v10: Latest version
v9: Deprecated version - first warning
v8: Deprecated version - last warning
API Documentation
The API Documentation describes how to use the APIs and includes code samples in multiple languages. The API Console allows you to directly interact with the API right here in the developer portal.
To interact with any of our APIs you will need to have a valid API Key for that respective product. If you do not yet have an API Key, please contact us.
API Authentication
Hometrack uses the Auth0 unified authentication platform to secure its APIs and other systems. Details of how to authenticate to Hometrack APIs can be found here.
